An EU-IoT Training Workshop was held on 9 November on the theme of NextGeneration IoT Architectures – Taking Full Advantage of Emerging IoT Technologies.
Around 50 participants joined the session which explored key themes and examples of next generation IoT Architectures as evidenced through the NGIoT research and innovation projects. Architectures leveraging novel building blocks of IoT systems like 5G networks, machine learning technologies and distributed ledger infrastructures were presented, including several meta-architectures i.e., reference models and blueprints for IoT systems. Moreover, participants had the chance to review the similarities and differences of the IoT architectures that are promoted by different EU projects.
